Julia Roberts and George Clooney bring charm to ‘Ticket to Paradise’

NEW YORK, NY — On a trip I can’t afford to make, my husband and I caught the “Ticket to Paradise” premiere on Saturday night at Radio City Music Hall. We’re both fans of Julia Roberts, and for whatever reason, she and George Clooney got along so nicely I was excited to share in their success. (And then I couldn’t resist sharing in their success with a little gossip about the two of them.)

What were your emotions as they arrived in the lobby?

“I was so overwhelmed by the happiness that you brought to my life that I didn’t know what to do with it,” Roberts said. “It was the first time I really felt like I was in the presence of someone who knows what they want and who wants what they want. And I want to take the high road because it sounds really corny, but I want to help them reach that high.”

How do you feel when you share something with your loved ones that you wish you’d had the chance to tell them when they were younger?

“I don’t like to talk in long, long explanations. I’m a really small talker,” Roberts said with a laugh. “I like to give people the facts. I like to know people on a personal level and they will respect you for that.”

Clooney replied, “Me too.”

How did you feel meeting each other on the night of your premiere?

“I was very, very excited. I’m really excited about the show,” Clooney said. “It’s so much fun to see it all together. I’m very excited. I couldn’t believe I was meeting Julia, and I
